The Minnesota Prevention Resource Center (MPRC) works to reduce the impact of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug (ATOD) abuse by enhancing the capacity of Minnesota’s substance abuse prevention professionals. To achieve this goal, MPRC provides technical assistance, professional development, research assistance, and resources to people working on substance abuse prevention in Minnesota. The Minnesota Prevention Resource Center is a project funded by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division and hosted by the Association for Nonsmokers – MN.

MPRC’s premier event is Minnesota’s Prevention Program Sharing Conference held every October in St. Cloud, MN. This event convenes over 200 of Minnesota’s prevention professionals for learning, networking and skill-building opportunities to enhance ATOD prevention efforts. MPRC offers two additional professional development opportunities for prevention professionals including the Substance Abuse Prevention Skills Training (SAPST) and Ethics in Prevention. Visit our website for upcoming conference and training dates.

MPRC communicates new prevention resources, upcoming events, news, and opportunities to a large network of prevention professionals using Facebook, Twitter, and its e-newsletter, MN-Prev.
