Hmong Womens Circle- White Bear Lake North Campus
Overview
Hmong Women's Circle is a place where Hmong Girls can come together to learn new things and have fun. We talk about Hmong cultures and tradition, discuss issues hmong teens are facing, visit college and universitys and do community service projects.
The mission of HWC is to empower youth to become healthy, proactive individuals by promoting self-awareness and creating opportunities for growth. We value youth as resources with unique perspectives and strengths; Hmong youth embracing their cultural heritage and identity; and creating safe places that foster open dialogue and nurture healthy relationships. Through their involvement in HWC, we envision Hmong youth as contributing leaders in their families and communities.
Hmong Women's Circle has been working with Ramsey Tobacco Coaltion for the past 2 years.
Survey Findings & News
We found a lot of tobacco advertising. We did our survey's in St. Paul where many of our friends and relitives live and also where there are Hmong owned shops.
